Purpose Fuels Persistence: A Roadmap to Your Best Self

Welcome, welcome! Happy New Year!!

I’m thrilled to share this journey with you. My name is Kristy Edgar, a holistic lifestyle expert, and my story is one of transformation, discovery, and purpose. From a massage therapist afraid of science to a health coach deeply committed to empowering others, my journey has been fueled by persistence and a passion for natural wellness.

Diagnosed with chronic fatigue and left without answers from traditional medicine, I turned to alternative methods for healing. This led me to the Institute for Integrative Medicine, where I became a health coach. Today, I stand proudly in one of the fastest-growing industries, helping people reclaim their health, discern misinformation, and build lives of vitality.

But this isn’t about me—it’s about you. Let’s dive into how purpose fuels persistence and how you can harness it to create a life that’s aligned, meaningful, and truly yours.

Reflecting on 2024: A Personal Audit

As we step into a new year, it’s essential to pause and reflect on the year behind us. Take a few moments to answer these questions:

  • What are you most proud of?

  • What obstacles have you overcome?

  • What mistakes have you made?

  • What have you learned?

  • What wisdom has become crystal clear?

  • What are you willing to leave behind?

This reflection isn’t about dwelling on the past but understanding it. By examining what worked, what didn’t, and how you’ve grown, you lay the foundation for authentic transformation. Remember, failure isn’t the end—it’s the First Attempt In Learning.

Crafting Your Vision for 2025

Resolutions are outdated. Most of them don’t last past February. Instead, focus on one meaningful change each year. Whether it’s reading more books, strengthening your relationships, or prioritizing self-care, the key is to commit to habits that lead to the best version of yourself.

Create a Clear Picture

Who is the best version of you?

  • What makes you happy and productive?

  • How do you act, speak, and fill your time?

Dig deep and let go of what others might think. This is your vision, and it requires self-compassion. Plan for distractions, but don’t let them derail your progress. Motivation gets you started, but habits keep you going.

The Power of Mindset and Beliefs

Your beliefs shape your reality. To grow, you must challenge limiting beliefs and adopt a mindset of curiosity and resilience. When faced with challenges, ask yourself:

  • What can I learn from this?

  • How can this work for me?

  • Where can I grow my faith?

  • How can I use this to serve others?

The more self-aware you become, the more you can reframe experiences and align your actions with your values.

Anchoring Yourself in Values

Take time to define your core values for yourself, your family, and your business. These values act as your compass, guiding decisions and helping you live authentically.

Questions to Explore:

  • What’s most important to you (time, treasure, talent)?

  • Where does your energy go?

  • What do you want your life to stand for?

  • How do you want to show up for yourself and others?

Tip: Anger often signals when your values are being violated. Use these moments to clarify what truly matters to you.

Setting SMART Goals

When setting goals, ensure they are:

  • Specific

  • Measurable

  • Achievable

  • Relevant

  • Time-Based

The Three Primary Aspirations

  1. Being: Focus on energy, character, and alignment with your authentic self.

  2. Relating: Deepen connections with loved ones and create meaningful relationships.

  3. Creating: Build a legacy through meaningful contributions, experiences, and abundance.

2025: A Year of Purpose and Clarity

To create a fulfilling year, identify what you want to achieve in key areas: health, finances, relationships, career, spirituality, and community. Then, ask yourself:

  • Who do I need to be to bring these goals to life?

  • What traits, habits, or skills must I develop?

Create "buckets" for being, relating, and creating, and fill them with intentional actions.

Living with Purpose

Purpose activates potential and creates momentum. When you live intentionally, you radiate positivity, raise the vibration of those around you, and cultivate happiness and health.

Action Steps:

  • Let go of others’ expectations and reclaim your life’s agenda.

  • Prioritize energy through self-mastery and meaningful relationships.

  • Be a role model by living your truth and upholding your values.

  • Track your goals and celebrate every win—big or small.

  • Commit to mastery by combining intention with attention to detail.

Choosing Your Word for the Year

Finally, choose a word or phrase to guide your year. Whether it’s “growth,” “grace,” or “authenticity,” let this word drive your decisions and fuel your persistence.

Purpose fuels persistence. It’s the driving force that keeps you moving forward, even when the road gets tough. By reflecting, setting clear goals, and living intentionally, you can create a life of meaning, connection, and joy.

Here’s to 2025—a year of growth, alignment, and purpose!

be kind. be well. cultivate your health.
